We’ll Take Care of You
Comprehensive Care
All patients will receive an examination and periodontal measurements in order to make an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Please bring the names of all current medications to your first appointment and inform us of any changes that may occur. Some medications or Health Conditions may require a consultation with your medical doctor prior to dental treatment. Please understand that this may at times delay dental treatment for your health and safety. Some items to consider are pregnancy, uncontrolled or high blood pressure readings, untreated heart disease, diabetes, heart murmurs, blood thinners, and Kidney or liver disease. If you think you fall into these categories, consider talking to your physician first, to see if there are special measures they recommend for you. We request that our pregnant patients obtain a consent from your OB/GYN prior to your appointment to avoid any delay or limitations in your treatment.
New Patients seeking comprehensive care will receive a comprehensive exam with x-rays in order to indicate the type of cleaning needed for that individual and what type of restorative treatments are indicated. Emergency exams will be performed for patients with pain or swelling requiring urgent care or persons who have a concern that needs to be addressed prior to their next scheduled visit. Radiographs may be necessary at emergency visits to diagnose the area of concern.
Patients are responsible for payment of services the day they are rendered. Any payment options will be discussed during the presentation of the treatment plan and which services qualify.
If you are using Dental Insurance, we need all policy information prior to your visit to verify your policy. If you do not provide that information you will be responsible for all charges if your claims are declined. We understand life is busy, so it is very important to respond to our texts, calls, or emails, prior to your visit, so that we can ensure a smooth registration process for you.
New Patient Forms can be located on our website or we will gladly offer a paper version at our office when you arrive. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time in order to establish your computer record and verify insurance.
New Patient
1st Visit for a Comprehensive Dental Exam
When entering our office, we will greet you with a smile whether on the phone or at the front desk! You will find our waiting room comfortable and relaxing with family friendly movies, and the essence of an ocean oasis to ease your day.
Our friendly staff will acknowledge your arrival and register you for your appointment. When your appointment time arrives, you will be greeted by your Dental Hygienist or Dental Assistant and will lead to your treatment room to obtain your health history and blood pressure.
Next, we will lead you in your treatment room, where you will be seated and able to hear relaxing and upbeat music like Contemporary Christian, Yacht Rock, Oldies, and Captain and Tenille. All necessary digital radiographs will be taken in accordance with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. We will also review your Medical History and Medications. These items are required and extremely important every year to be updated.
At the appropriate time, Dr. Enriquez will then be summonsed to meet you and she will perform a thorough head and neck examination, an oral cancer screening and dental exam. This is done to identify your areas of concern and then to determine your treatment plan and which cleaning will suit your oral health needs. After your examination and discussion with Dr. Enriquez, you will be presented with a treatment plan to acknowledge and sign, then schedule to return if indicated. The next step is to check out, conveniently located before exiting into the waiting room. Our Dental Assistant will gladly make your next appointment with a reminder card. We will also remind you of appointments by text and email if you can provide us with your information solely for the purpose of reminders.
High-Quality, Compassionate Care
Emergencies
1st Visit for an Emergency Exam
All steps will be the same as a New Patient exam except that our focus will be on the issue of greatest concern or discomfort that day. Emergency exams will be scheduled on the same day or at our first available emergency appointment opening. We will do our best to accommodate our patient’s needs. Radiographs will focus on this area also. If there is more than one area of concern we will gladly take an x-ray of that region at an additional cost.
Sometimes referrals will be provided to specialists. This will provide treatment for you in a timely manner and if your care is urgent.
Dr. Enriquez will then propose a “Limited Care” treatment plan which will focus on the isolated areas and teeth. Treatment may be rendered on the day of the emergency visit upon the discretion of the Dentist based on the time needed for the procedure and the patient being able to medically tolerate the procedure and anesthesia.
